Job Title: PPC (Pay-per-click) Marketing Associate

This individual will work directly with the Internet Marketing Manager and the executive team to create, manage and optimize PPC campaigns in support of business goals in a global environment. This position is based at uShip's corporate headquarters in Austin, TX.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform keyword research in order to add to existing campaign portfolio as well as create entirely new campaigns for our global initiatives
  • Continuously review and manage all aspects of existing campaign to ensure profitability
  • Serve as pay per click expert across all continents (we are global)
  • Create, Test, Measure and Iterate PPC Landing Pages on a weekly basis
  • Prepare reporting and profitability of the PPC efforts on a bi-weekly basis
  • Analyze and translate quantitative and qualitative data from web analytics tool into actionable PPC Plan (Roadmap)
  • Research and develop PPC best practices to identify new market opportunities and maximize program profits with improved paid campaign performance
  • Assist in search engine optimization efforts, including link-building, as needed
  • Assist in brand management efforts as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience
  • Knowledge and experience with the creation, management, and optimization of large-scale PPC campaigns on the 3 Major Platforms - Yahoo, MSN and Google
  • Experience with or knowledge of bid optimization software tools
  • Experience with Google Adwords Editor & Microsoft Adcenter Desktop
  • Experience with Keyword Research and the tools available
  • Knowledge/skills in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS are a plus
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Must be detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to evangelize Traffic/Search Strategy projects and work with cross functional staffs to ensure implementation
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment
  • Self-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility
  • 1-3 years experience at a dedicated SEM consulting company or as a Search Engine Marketer for a large web company
